Over the weekend, ShockTillYouDrop.com spoke with Twilight co-star Ashley Greene who informed us she wrapped another thriller earlier this year entitled Summer’s Blood (formally Summer). And debuted the new poster.

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter and Smash Cut helmer Lee Demarbre directs this story about a family of serial killers stalking a young woman out to find the father she’s never known. Sean Hogan and Christine Conradt wrote the script. Conradt’s also working with Ruggero Deodato on his Cannibals project.

Co-starring alongside Greene is Stephen McHattie (Hollis Mason in Watchmen), Barbara Niven and Peter Mooney. Genre vet Pierre David served on the project as executive producer. Peruse his lengthy resume here.

Summer’s Blood is one of the most deranged, shocking and twisted family thrillers ever made…

After discovering that her mother has lied about her birth to her estranged father, hardened teenager Summer (Ashley Greene) hits the road looking to meet the mystery man. Her only clue is a beat-up letter, postmarked from a small town called Massey. Once she arrives in the rural community Summer is rescued from an altercation with the law by a charming local handyman named Tom Hoxey (Peter Mooney). The couple quickly hits it off and heads back to the house Tom shares with his mother Gaia (Barbara Niven) for a night of casual sex. This decision proves to be the biggest mistake of Summer’s young life.

Ashley news is very quiet right now. Some catchup: Summer started filmling in Canada. And Twilight recently reshot a few scenes (including Bella’s lullabye which you can read about here) and according to several Twi-sites the premiere is scheduled for Nov. 17.

A family of serial killers has drawn Twilight star Ashley Greene into their web in the edgy indie thriller Summer.

Stephen McHattie, Barbara Niven and Peter Mooney play the deranged kinfolk who Greene’s character encounters on her quest to find the father she’s never known.

Horror filmmaker Lee De Marbre is directing the tentatively titled film from a screenplay by Sean Hogan and Christine Conradt for producers Rob Menzies, Donald Osbourne and Curtis Crawford of Ottawa-based Zed Filmworks (The Dead Sleep Easy).

Greene’s next big-screen role is in the December release Twilight, the vampire thriller adaptation of the best-selling young adult novel. McHattie will be seen in another anticipated cult project, the Warner Bros. film Watchmen. Mooney stars in the ABC Family series Falcon Beach, and Niven has appeared in numerous telefilms.
